Submit your work

While publication is guaranteed, contributors are required to provide the requested information, based on the type of media submitted, and adhere to the following guidelines.

Articles

You are free to submit any STEM-related content. The tone of your piece may be technical or more light-hearted, depending on your style, but it should still meet the quality of an academic paper, with references included where appropriate, in order to avoid troubles with plagiarism.

There is no maximum word limit, but to ensure each article occupies at least one page of the digital magazine, for aesthetic consistency, submissions should be a minimum of (more or less) 500 words.

Along with your submission, please include:

  • Your name (you may use a pseudonym or request anonymity if you prefer to mainten privacy)

  • Relevant photos that complement your article (optional, but encouraged)​

Interviews

Send a short self-introduction that includes:

  • Your name (you may use  a pseudonym if you prefer to keep your privacy)

  • Your age (optional)

  • Your current studies or academic backgroud

  • Your area of focus or interest in STEM (for example: technology, biology, medicine...)

  • Any relevant experience in the field (academic or work-related)

  • Anything else you would like to add about yourself

Your self-introduction will be used as the basis for tailoring the interview questions. Once we receive your email, our staff will get back to you with your personalized set of questions.

Artworks

When we say STEM-related art, it doesn't only mean technical or scientific drawings, it can be anything inspired by science, technology, engineering or mathematics. For example:

  1. Nature-inspired pieces (e.g. cellular patterns, ecology, astronomical themes, landscapes)

  2. Futuristic or imaginative works (e.g. technological environments, space exploration, robotics)

  3. Creative interpretations of scientificc concepts (e.g. DNA, chemical reactions)

  4. Abstract representations that capture the essence of innovation and discovery

Along with the titles of your pieces, add:

  • A short self-introduction​

  • A brief explanation of your artworks (what it represents and its connection with STEM)

General information

  1. Eligibility: Our goal is to celebrate underrepresented voices in STEM, which is why we mainly welcome submissions from women and non-binary people.

  2. ​Original work only: We accepy original submissions only. Plagiarism or AI-generated content is not allowed.

  3. No theme restrictions: There are no specific themes, submit anything STEM-related that interests you.

  4. Submission deadlines: Submissions are always open but to be considered for an upcoming issue, check the deadlines. If you miss a deadline, your work will be considered for the following issue.

  5. Multiple submissions: You can submit more than one piece; however, we may not publish all submissions in the same issue.

  6. Content guidelines: We do not accept work containing violent, racist, homophobic, transphobic or hateful content.
